Fireside Lodge Opening of 2005 Fishing Season Report
Fireside Lodge Opening of 2005 Fishing Season Report, Northwest Ontario
Hello to all fellow anglers from Fireside Lodge in Northwest Ontario, Canada. Audrey and I had a wonderful winter and are looking very forward to another exciting fishing season at Fireside Lodge. This will be our 16th year, WOW! We are amazed that much time has gone by already, and feel like it was just yesterday when we started our new adventure at Fireside Lodge. Staff started to arrive on May 6th and will all be here by May 14th. We are bustling around preparing for all that will soon make Fireside Lodge come alive again. Fireside Lodge is a very quiet serene atmosphere at all times, however when Fireside Guests arrive their is a certain excitement, and coming alive that takes place, which Audrey and I see, that nobody else can experience. The winter weather brought us a lot of snow, (more than we ever saw in our lives), but disappeared quickly with warm end of March and April temperatures. Ice was out by April 19th-20th which is early compared to the normal May 5th-9th. Weather has been cool since late April, and water temperatures are still cold. Water levels are good and normal for this time of year, and we are hoping to get a summer this year, which seemed to pass us by in the 2004 season. Speaking of the 2004 season, we have posted all the pictures people sent us on our website at www.firesidelodge.com under the page headed "Current Photos Uploaded Regularly." There are about 330 great fishing pictures, and most of all wonderful smiling faces having fun and making memories. If for some reason you don't see yours and you sent me a picture please let me know, or if you want to have your picture on the website please send it to me or email your picture to me. If you email it make sure it is a small file and in jpeg form only. We are looking very forward to the people we will be seeing in 2005, and for those of you who we won't be seeing, you can keep in touch with our "Happenings" at Fireside Lodge by reading our weekly fishing reports on our website under the page headed "Current Happenings." Audrey and I wish all of you the best, and looking very forward to a "GREAT" 2005 fishing season at Fireside Lodge.
Keep on Fish'n. Alan
